What do you get when you cross beer, ice, and a 26 inch Weber kettle bottom? If you guess my new beer cooler, you're right! It's high up so you don't have to bend over, it's easy to drain melted ice out of, and you can wheel around the backyard to shorten the walks to the fridge.
Zoe made the mistake of casually suggesting the idea, and I took it and ran. Hang a bottle opener off the handle, and you have fully functional beverage cart.

Love it!
I saw this being done somewhere and thought what a great idea. I have a "cheapo" kettle grill I was thinking of using for a cooler. Guess I need a couple of Weber's so one can serve that purpose.
Of course, it also makes me think f a take-off of a Jeff Foxworthy bit.... "You may be too into gilling (and beer) if...."
Consider me guilty then.
Probably the coolest beer cooler ever. Looks like I need another Weber; I'm sure the wife won't mind a bit!
What a cool idea! I have a friend who took his old burned out gas grill and lined it with plastic, then used it the same way.
