Glorious George
Mike was kind of enough to ship me a six pack of his latest homebrew creation, Glorious George. I am anxiously awaiting its arrival and will appropriately document the entire experience!

This message will self destruct in 5 seconds...
You have to leave it to the folks at the Weber ad agency. They have really out done themselves this time. About four weeks ago, Weber launched their Campaign to Promote Grill Decency. I of course jumped on the website, signed up to be an "enforcement agent" and acknowledged responsibility in helping some friends and family members "Go Weber".
Imagine my surprise, several weeks later, when a box showed up from Weber. I am now an officially sanctioned "Grill Decency Agent"...with an ID card to boot. The Weber dossier contained my recruitment letter, door knob hangers, a button, stickers, my ID card and a Weber Style silicone basting brush (Nice!). This is pretty neat. Especially for a grill geek like me.
Needless to say, it will not be long before I am trying to convert unsuspecting suburbanites to Weber. Especially when I find them trying to light their Meijer hibaches with excessive amounts of lighter fluid. It will just take a gentle reminder by leaving my CPGD (Campaign for Grill Decency..duh!) door knob hangers.
I have received your orders Weber and I will be carrying them out!

JoCo in the News

With all of the big splash over Radiohead's "pay what you want" formula for their new album, Wired has a great article on Jonathan Coulton, who has already trodden down the same road.
Mmmh Mmmh Good
What's on the Grill #46
T-Bone with rosemary! After what seems like two weeks and no real grill action, I cannot begin to tell you how good this was.

I Wanna Rock!!
Well I can guarantee you that the Christmas gift to be had around here is Rock Band for the PS3! I love Guitar Hero II, but since there is no way to play it on the PS3, the arrival of Rock Band, and GHIII to a lesser extent, will be well received in our household. To really seal the deal today, I saw that Rock Band includes a cover of Tom Sawyer. How cool is that?
Well at least now when I invite my friends over to play Rock Band, the game, I know that my Mom won't kick us out of the house because she is afraid one of my friend's, who have a job, is going to break Matthew's real band instruments!
To celebrate, here is the hilarious South Park intro Rush used to introduce Tom Sawyer on their summer tour. A tour I have completely missed. The quality is poor, but then again it is You Tube.
Paris and Dave
I rarely watch Letterman anymore, way past my bedtime and no room in my TIVO Season Pass. However, this has got to be one of the funniest Letterman interviews ever. I guess Paris Hilton was on his show to promote her new fragrance and some lame horror movie that she is going to act and "sing" in. Instead of doing the PR bit, every question Dave asks her is about prison. Brilliant. Best question: "Do you know what you were in for?"
